One of the best things about the montessori education we feel is that Ira does a lot of things herself. She wears her own shoes, packs her own little bag when we travel or visit a friend, keeps her plate or bowl in the sink post a meal and even throws garbage in the designated bins. These may come across as small chores but for a three year old, these are stepping stones to being independent and self sufficient. Another reason we are grateful for the type of learning that we have chosen.
